BIOGRAPHY: Bradley H. Foreman was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 7, 1959. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1985, and he is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District Court and Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Mr. Foreman obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan in 1981. He obtained his law degree in 1985 from the John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, a co-founder of the Securities Exchange Law Association, and a contributing writer and editor for the Decisive Utterance, among other activities. Mr. Foreman has concentrated his practice in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real estate and transactional matters. Mr. Foreman was previously a partner in the downtown Chicago law firm of Barnard, Foreman & McCollom, Ltd. for 14 years. He has tried cases before judges and juries in state and federal courts, and possesses a broad state and federal appellate, mediation and arbitration experience. His clients have included plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving a wide range of commercial and business disputes. He has represented individual and corporate debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters, and has also represented individual and business creditors in bankruptcy matters. He has counseled individuals, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies in a wide variety of transactions ranging from the sale, purchase or lease of assets to business formations, employment matters, and planning concerns. Mr. Foreman is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the West Suburban Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Foreman is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois. Mr. Foreman has also devoted his career to education and public service. He has taught legal writing at the John Marshall Law School and has served as a chairman for mandatory arbitration proceedings in Cook County in Illinois. He continues to regularly provide pro bono legal services to needy individuals through his service on the volunteer panel of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as through the Legal Assistance Foundation. In the civic arena, Mr. Foreman has served as a Board Member of the Community Chest of Oak Park & River Forest, a local United Way organization; as a Commissioner on the Oak Park Community Relations Commission, as a member of the Oak Park Cable Television Commission, and remains an active member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.
